For my photography business, 2021 was the year of the micro wedding.

I shot far more weddings where I only spent two or three hours with the couple with a select few of their friends. Amelia & Dan’s Islington Town Hall Wedding proved to me how important a photographer is even for a small intimate exchange of vows. They are both from Australia and the pandemic had meant that their dream wedding back in Oz could not be organised. So they got married in Islington with family members unable to get over here to celebrate with them. As hard as that was to deal with Amelia & Dan could not look any happier, don’t you think? They just smiled and giggled constantly as we walked from the Town Hall, grabbing portraits along the way, to the fabulous Prawn On The Lawn Restaurant.

Regardless of how small this wedding was, Amelia & Dan did not shrimp (sorry, scrimp!) on the design and style of the day. The private room at Prawn On The Lawn was styled incredibly by Anemone Style and their gorgeous flowers were from Catherine Short Floral Design
