Holly & Ant – Relaxed, Romantic Barn Wedding at The Yoghurt Rooms

cosy, candlelit and completely them

Some couples want a big show. Holly and Ant wanted a chilled day with their favourite people, lots of good food and plenty of excuses to be silly together. Spoiler: they got all three.

These two met at work. Ant now runs his own restaurant and Holly spends her days walking dogs. They’re happiest outdoors, around a table with family, or tucked up on the sofa watching Gavin & Stacey. So it made sense that their wedding felt like the best kind of cosy night in, just with 130 guests and a lot more confetti.

the venue

They married at The Yoghurt Rooms, which is run by their friend Laura. It doesn’t get much more personal than that. Guests started with drinks under the stretch tent before being called into the barn. The barn was dressed in white drapes and what felt like a thousand candles: romantic, classic and a little bit rustic, exactly as Holly pictured it.

the look

Holly was a dream in a plain, classic gown with a long train and a veil to match. It was simple, timeless and swooshing down the aisle beautifully. Ant looked sharp in a navy double-breasted suit, with the groomsmen in matching navy. The bridal party wore white and cream, with Lizzie and Maddie as maids of honour and Josh and Jonny as bridesmen. Dean was best man, backed up by Dan and Josh.

The flowers were by Lizzie herself, who runs Wyld & Green. Not many brides can say their maid of honour did the florals too!

the day

The ceremony was full of laughs and happy tears. Then everyone lined the aisle for a confetti walk back up it, which I’ll never get bored of. While guests had drinks and canapés under the tent, the team and groomsmen flipped the barn round for the wedding breakfast.

And what a breakfast. Mario’s Big Fat Greek BBQ fed the whole room. With a restaurant owner as the groom, the food was never going to be an afterthought. The cake was homemade by the family, and the speeches came in two rounds, so nobody went hungry for jokes either.

Once the evening guests arrived, the dessert station appeared, AV Entertainment got the dance floor going, and the barn turned into the party Holly and Ant had been promising all along.

Holly and Ant, thank you for having me. It was a joy from start to finish x
